Five PPLS staff members nominated for 2026 Teaching Awards

Academic and professional services staff from across the School have been recognised by the student community.

Teaching Awards

The Students’ Association Teaching Awards is an annual event which provide students with the opportunity to thank staff for their dedication and celebrate the very best of teaching and support at the University.

PPLS nominees

This year five members of the PPLS community have been shortlisted:

  • Professor Michael Gill, shortlisted for Teacher of the Year
  • Dr Matti Wilks, shortlisted for Outstanding Course (Moral Psychology in the Real World)
  • Dr Alasdair Richmond, shortlisted for Outstanding Course (Philosophy of Time Travel)
  • Professor Martin Corley, shortlisted for Supervisor of the Year
  • Colette Bush, shortlisted for Student Adviser of the Year

Winners of the 2026 Teaching Awards will be announced on 22 April, during the Teaching Awards Ceremony at Teviot.
