“I loved every moment of my time in Edinburgh - both academic and personal. My degree was a lot of hard work, but it was fascinating and I loved my courses and professors, who pushed me to develop academically. It was a worthwhile challenge, and even though it was stressful and overwhelming at times, I wouldn’t have changed anything.
Outside the academic world, I met wonderful friends from all over the world with whom I shared many travels and cultural experiences. I was also lucky to live with two fantastic Scottish flatmates, who helped me integrate into Scottish life!”
Internationally-renowned reputation for research
With over 150 academic staff within the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences, our breadth of expertise ranges from analytic philosophy and the study of English language, through applied linguistics and experimental psychology, to cognitive neurosciences and genetic influences on human behaviour.
Each year the School welcomes around 200 postgraduate students from across the world, creating a culturally diverse learning experience whilst providing a friendly and supportive community.
Students have access to a range of specialist laboratories, research talks and reading groups, whilst enjoying all that the wonderful, thriving capital city of Edinburgh has to offer.
