Information for Academic Visitors
We welcome applications from academic staff based in overseas institutions wishing to visit the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences (PPLS).
Academic visitors can conduct a range of activities. This might include collaborating with members of staff on research projects, establishing academic networks with our staff and exploring opportunities for future projects. Information for successful applicants
In advance of your first day please contact your academic sponsor to arrange a welcome meeting . The School Operations Team, will email you your university user name (UUN)/log in information.
Department Talks & Seminars
If you would like to attend any of the departmental talk series and reading groups during your stay then please click on the links below and select the relevant seminars/reading groups and department talks that you are interested in for the contact details.
Letter of Introduction
Please contact the School Operations Team should you require a letter of introduction. Please note this is a standard letter for all academic visitors and cannot be altered. We will require a note of your address in your home country.
Accommodation in Edinburgh
Currently we are unable to provide any University accommodation although we will update once this has changed. You would need to check with local letting agents in Edinburgh (please note they are not affiliated with the University of Edinburgh)
