ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship
This scheme is aimed at providing a career development opportunity for those in the immediately postdoctoral stage of their career, to provide the opportunity to consolidate their PhD through developing publications, their networks, and their research and professional skills.
Eligibility: Applicants must have completed their PhD at a research organisation that is part of a Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). At the submission deadline, the applicant must either have been awarded a PhD (within the last 12 months) or have submitted their thesis and passed their viva voce with minor corrections, with the expectation that the PhD will be awarded by the start date of the grant (1st October).
Budget: Varies, but includes full-time salary for 1 year and up to £10,000 for other research costs.
Internal Process: There is an internal peer review via SGSSS which determines how many applications can go through for submission. Only applicants invited to by SGSSS can put in a full application.
Deadline: outline stage January, full stage March (Annual).
