A lot of PPLS alumni have gone on to become published authors however not many have done so within one month of graduating. Whatever Next: On Adult Adoptee Identities considers how traditional narratives surrounding adoption have both dominated and damaged adoptive communities for many years, and what we should do to avoid these pitfalls.

Whatever Next? was founded last year by Hannah and her friends Josephine Jay and Adaline Bara when they met on a Facebook group aimed at adoptees.

The aim of Whatever Next? is to positively impact the adoptive community while challenging misconceptions. The group share insights from their daily lives to create a better understanding of adoption and connect those interested or involved in the adoptee experience.

The book is just the latest success for the group who won a Young Scot Equality and Diversity Award earlier this year; have been recognised by the Edinburgh Book Festival; and were invited to travel to the US to take part in a panel for the Catalyst Foundation.

The book is available from 404 Publishing, linked below.
