Searching for academic literature

  • The University library has numerous subscriptions to general and subject-specific databases. Note library databases generally provide references and citations only, not full-text articles.

  • PsycINFO - Produced by the American Psychological Association with citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters and technical reports, as well as citations to dissertations. Currently uses Ovid interface.

  • MEDLINE - United States National Library of Medicine database covering worldwide medical literature. MEDLINE is a good medical database covering psychiatry or clinical psychology subjects.

  • PubMed -  a free service from the National Library of Medicine (U.S) with citations for biomedical articles going back to the 1950s. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life sciences journals. Includes links to many sites providing full-text.
