Linguistics researchers Professor Antonella Sorace and Dr Rebekka Puderbaugh are taking the stage at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe The world-famous arts festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, is currently underway with a mix of in-person and online shows until Monday 30 August. Researchers from the School of PPLS at the University are contributing to this yearly festival with spoken word shows as part of the Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas (CoDI). The Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas Linguistics professor Antonella Sorace and Teaching Fellow in Phonetics Rebekka Puderbaugh will perform at The Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh as part of the CoDI programme, curated by the Beltane Public Engagement Network. The programme is an opportunity for researchers from Edinburgh's four universities to present and debate hot topics with visitors at the Fringe. Each CoDI show features three top academics sharing three dangerous ideas and the host comedian Susan Morrison. All shows can be streamed online and limited in-person tickets are also available.
