The University has a strong and long-standing commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and to promoting a positive culture which celebrates difference, challenges prejudice and ensures fairness. Our staff and students are our greatest assets and all members of the University community should expect to be able to excel, and to be respected and valued for their unique perspectives and contributions. The University has a zero tolerance approach to bullying, harassment or discrimination and will respond promptly and sensitively to formal complaints, and where appropriate take disciplinary action. The University Dignity & Respect policy applies to all staff and students of the University in relation to both individual and collective activities and dealings with others in the University. The University also has a dedicated webpage “Respect at Edinburgh” where lots of additional support can be found.
